COLUM SANDS – CANCELLED

Cancelled

Colun Sands has posted—

In the interests of taking care of each other and of our planet, my 2020 Australian Tour has today been cancelled.

With the quarantine imposed by the Australian Government, I would now face a scenario where my planned arrival in Perth on Friday 27th of March would be followed by a two week quarantine, a period in which I had hoped to play concerts in West Australia, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia.

I would be released from quarantine on Good Friday (April 10th), the date of my first concert at the National Folk Festival (in Australian Capital Territory), a festival which has just been cancelled today.

This means that through no fault of mine or the audiences and organisers connected with all the concerts planned, the combination of circumstances and legislation has made it impossible for me to fulfil my commitments to play at any of the scheduled concerts.

Sending best wishes to all the organisers and audiences who I had been looking forward to meet in the coming weeks.

May the actions which we are all taking help us to find the best way forward in taking care of each other and our planet in the times ahead.
