About

Southern Sydney Folk Club acknowledges the Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the Traditional Custodians of all lands, waters and sky in the Georges River area. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples who live work and meet on these lands.

Southern Sydney Folk Club meets in Mortdale each week.

Mortdale Player Nights, every Tuesday, is our main activity, giving local folk enthusiasts the opportunity to meet, play, perform and have a laugh!

We host regular concerts featuring local, interstate and international folk artists.

Our annual Mortdale Bush Dance in November is a big-time feature of the year.

We are an Non Profit, Incorporated Association led by Mark Wilkes and our committee, Harry Aizenberg, Mark Huon and Shelley Clements.
